Frequently Asked Questions

My car isn’t that dirty, do I still need to pay the full price?

Yes. The base price is to ensure the time it takes to properly address each area is covered and no area gets skipped. Most cars are dirtier than the people who own them might realize. It’s only once you get in there and spend proper time with the right cleaning method do those dirty surfaces emerge.

How long does it take?

This is a very hard question to answer as it depends on many variables that can only be determined upon visual inspection by myself of the vehicle. To give some answer, Interiors I allot at least 3 hours and for exterior 1.5 hours. This ensures nothing is rushed and forgotten. Any additional addons will add time to the total timeframe. Usually, the ideal scenario is next day service return unless it is on the weekend, then it may be same day. Again, each car is different.

How long will the wax last?

The term wax is only used to ensure people know some level of protectant is added. The days of carnauba waxes have come and gone (still serve a purpose but I don’t use them). Each sealant that is used varies in protection from 1 month to several years. The type used depends on what level the customer wants and is willing to pay for. Ceramic coatings require at a minimum a 1 step polish to ensure the surface will accept the coating which requires the Better than new package at a minimum.

I can get my car washed for $30 down the street, what justifies the price for a car wash?

You’re right, you can. I am not a car washing service, I am a detailer. I use premium products and more importantly, a level of attention and purpose that ensures the condition leaving is better than when it came. Detailing takes car washing to another level that is reserved for those that car about the condition of your car whether it’s a Toyota or a Mercedes-Benz, every car deserves proper love and attention and that is the service detailing provides.

Can you take out all of the scratches on my car?

Yes and no. If the scratch is deep enough for your finger nail to grab it, it is a deep scratch and requires repair. This can be addressed but will not disappear completely. The goal would then be to make it hard to see, which is a lot more achievable. If the scratch has a completely different color or is a chip missing, again its possible to slightly mask but will never disappear. That level of damage has completely gone through the clear coat and most likely the paint, exposing the primer or even the bare metal/plastic. This service requires specific paint and will take more time.

The last person that detailed my car left all of the surfaces slippery and left a chemical smell. Will that happen with you?

No, not at all. All surfaces are cleaned and protected with a very natural look that is water based, not oil based. The finish is smooth and will not rub off on your hands. I don’t use any harsh chemicals that will leave you feeling like you left a scene of Breaking Bad. Natural and clean is the goal with a fresh, new car smell. Leather is not shiny when its new, why should yours be after they are cleaned? Don’t settle for a subpar detailer using “flashy” products that don’t last and rub off when touched. Some detailers use oil based tire shines that look really glossy and shiny when you pick up the car but quickly fade after a few days and end up on your paint because they sling off. My tire sealant is water based and really sticks to the tire giving it a classier satin appearance that lasts weeks, and in some instances and conditions, months.
